New and Experienced Anglers Invited to Free Fishing Day Event at Lake Mead on June 13

Las Vegas, NV - The National Park Service, the Nevada Department of Wildlife, the Bureau of Reclamation, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Public Lands Institute have special events planned for Free Fishing Day on Saturday, June 13 at Lake Mead.

Boulder Harbor Fishing Pier will be the location for a free fishing clinic, casting lessons, water safety information, quagga mussel education, and a fish art booth. Free loaner reels and bait will be provided. Kids will get their own tackle boxes while supplies last.

The registration for this event will be begin at 7:30 a.m. and the instruction will take place from 8 a.m. to 1p.m. For more information about this event, please call the Alan Bible Visitor Center at 702-293-8990. Anglers participating in the event at Boulder Harbor can have their entrance fee waived, just let the entrance station know you are there for free fishing day.
